Adam Humphries (WR) Bucs
Humphries had a bit of a slow start to the season, but he’s been averaging 5.8 targets and 50 yards a game, and in his last 4 games he’s hauled in 4 touchdowns. He’s been neck to neck with Godwin in the stat line this year, and there are a lot of mouths to feed in Tampa Bay, but, the throw the ball the most in the league. The Bucs have a good matchup this week against Carolina, so plugging Humphries into your lineup should be worth it.
Justin Jackson (RB) Chargers
If you’re in really deep leagues, Josh Jackson might be a worthy option to consider after the Melvin Gordon injury. Jackson could look to carve out a roll in what will probably remain a committee style backfield. The Chargers have been excellent at running the ball this year, and Jackson could benefit from that play calling over the next few weeks. It should be noted that the over/under on this weeks game against the Steelers is 51.5, so with that much anticipated offense, we like Jackson chances to have opportunities this week.
John Johnson (S) Rams
Johnson is coming off a bye week and getting some much deserved rest after the amazing game put together by the Chiefs and Rams on Week 12’s Monday Night game. Johnson has been an active player all season, getting in on tackles, pass defenses and 3 picks.
Stafford has thrown 4 INT over the past 3 weeks and the Lions offense just hasn’t looked quite the same since Tate’s departure.
Lorenzo Alexander (LB) Bills
35 years old, still getting it done. Lorenzo has a good matchup this week against a beat up Dolphins team that we can all expect will be running a lot of short yardage plays. This is good news for Alexander, who is the type of LB that scores points all over the field, but notably, pass defenses, which he has 7 on the season.
There’s big play potential in his game against the Dolphins, and should be considered to plug into your line this week.
